first post wahey!

I have some TDL RTL 2's, mk1 1993 edition, exactly the same as the ones in the what hifi review.

I love the sound they make but people tell me they are too harsh, and to upgrade them. Personally i only find them harsh at loud volumes, ie about 11 o clock on my amp (which stops at 6 o clock)

Do i need to buy closed back tweeters if i upgrade ? im thinking of Morel MD20's which are £40 or MD 30's which are a bit more.

Can you get closed back ribbon tweeters, i prefer silk dome sound, find titanium tweeters far too harsh for my liking, so ribbons would be ideal.

Hi.

Go for the Morel MDT 30s and change the resistor on to a 2ohm. Fit good polyprop caps and change the internal wiring. Do it, you wont regret it!
