The cheap Porsche - HT18 18″ Subwoofer | Stereo Integrity
Wow, that is a good woofer for that price...a bit more power handling would be nice, but for the money, you could just use two where you'd use one
Quite some years ago, I had seen these beautiful pictures: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/subwoofers/199547-how-get-best-bass-reproduction.html
The transparent baffle and the sub with curvy Kalson slot is one of a kind. It seems by German, but I can't find the designer/maker because the pictures have been forwarded in countless jumps.
Any ideas?

BMS 1.4" coax behind a SEOS24, TD15S up top and a IB15 on bottom. Structure is solid 5/4 mahogany. Crossover is passive on horn, active on woofers. Sub will be a UM18 in a sealed 4.5cf enclosure. Still up in the air between using a MiniDSP 2x8 or a combination of passive and active via Crown XTi amps.

Thanks a lot
There's a lot more info about the making of them. Brilliant!
1 15" lower mid, 1 front facing and 1 rear facing 15" in almost 9cf was a little much for the room. Plus I like to mix things up once in a while.Face - ditching the cardioid and going dipole?
It will be fine.380 Hz is very very low for a 1,5 in driver?
You say denim insulation, do you make a kind of cardioid pattern then?
Nothing wrong if I end up with a cardioid instead.

We had a great time at the AV-Fair in Guangzhou.
The show was surpringsly well visited, and the room in which SEAS was represented, was filled with unique new kits designed by Julien Wang and David Fu from Image Audio.
We were amazed by the sound of the kit equipped with the White Diamond, together with W15CH001 and W26FX001.
This combination probably represent the best tweeter, the best midrange, and the best woofer in the world.
Very clean build. Diamond tweeters
That's very risky
