I want to try a SuperTweeter, one like
http://www.tannoy-speakers.com/s.php...le=ST100&s=30. I would try to build one myself but need some tip about what element I can use. Regard Progg70 |

Looks like a reverse engineering project. . .I would suggest
keep it simple and try to match it to your existing loudspeaker instead of having multiple SPL taps and top end limiting shelves. . . It is very cool item. . .must cost $$$$ |

Grettings Progg, I would use either a three quarter inch metal dome, a ribbon tweeter, or a small planar dynamic unit such as HI-VI's RT1II.

The Hi-Vi RT1-II would make a terrific supertweeter - it has good off-axis response well above 20 khz.
If you want something cheap and simple, the Aurasound NT1 would work nicely. |

This might be of some use to you. Hans Hilberink did a similar project using the Tannoy supertweeters as inspiration.

Thanks!
The link was nice but Peerless don’t make them anymore. I have problems to find EU dealers for the Hi-Vi RT1-II. Any more suggest for more known speaker labels. |

Fostex FT96H or similar? About 60% the price of their "enclosed " supertweeters.
Also looking elsewhere (follow sreten's link), they have a listing for supertweeters under "ribbons". A few options there, including HiVi Research. stew

Greetings Spasticteapot, I believe the HI-VI unit is used is used in Audiosmile's outboard supertweeter and should have excellent horizontal dispersion.
