I am again dabbling in DIY after almost 3 years . I wish to built an active Sub Sat System some what in line with Rod Elliot's project 73 "Hi-Fi PC Speaker System" which I will primarily use as a PC speaker. .
I have the following speakers for satellites :-

1. Hivi B4N Mid bass
2. Hivi K1 tweeter
3. Dayton ND20TA

Which of the two tweeters shall I use ?.

For the Sub Section I will use the following :-
8 inch IWAI SW200 PPF sub woofer which has the following parameters :-

1.181 "RMSE-free Ohms"
31.534 "Fs Hz"
5.519 "Re Ohms[dc]"
65.380 "Res Ohms"
4.224 "Qms "
0.357 "Qes "
0.329 "Qts "
0.986 "L1 mH"
2.514 "L2 mH"
23.558 "R2 Ohms"
0.000 "RMSE-load Ohms"
35.677 "Vas(Sd) liters"
49.277 "Mms(Sd) grams"
516.950 "Cms(Sd) æM/Newton"
12.293 "Bl(Sd) Tesla-M"
88.407 "SPLref(Sd) dB "

My problem is that both the sub and the mid woofer is suited for a bass reflex enclosure . I wish to build it using closed box .
Since I didn't find a lot of material in building Sub Sats so help from fellow DiIY members will be greatly appreciated .
My power requirement will be low as I stay in a very small room of 12 feet by 11ft which is full of furnitures.
I wish to use LM3886 for sub and Lm3875 or Lm1875 for satellites

Once I planned to use LM1875 for sat. and LM3886 for subwoofer, to make a 5+1 ch. audio system for my PC. So, I needed 4+1 LM1875, A another national ic called LM1876 has 2 channels inbuilt and features and performances are just same as LM1875...But I didnt found LM1876 in the market....I'll suggest you to search for LM1876. You need just two LM1876 for 4 sattelites, a LM1875 or any other for centre and LM3886 or any other gainclone (that you'd like) for the subwoofer.

For enclouser see it...

But I never built my home theater because I was unable to collect the things like copper clad board, FeCl3 etc. which are needed to build the PCBs. I'm looking for a online seller in india, or a electronic shop who send the components via mail, also looking for some cheap PCB makers in india (around kolkata or far).....well, But I'll build me home theater some day:angel: :)
