Question InDIYana 2008?

What happened? News? Pictures? Prizes? How were the speakers? Who were the winners? I thought I'd see all kinds of posts from the event last night and today, but nada, zilch, nothing? An eerie silence...

Come on, spill the beans, let those of us who were not fortunate enough to be able to attend know what we missed!

Some initial thoughts here:

And Shawn (the organiser's?) initial feedback here:

Looks like pictures and a write-up are going to be very soon (Shawn mentioned Monday).

And Jeff Bagby's feedback:

Yeah - I'd be just grateful to be able to go to *ANY* DIY event. I might have to see what interest there is in NZ for an inaugural event of some kind.

I know our Aussie friends have one or two every now and then.

Shawn says picture descriptions to come...

I know audiodiycentral used to have a set of pages for various DIY events. It would be good if all these events could all be found in one place, with some structure so you could browse designs and categories across events. Most DIY events have as a condition the designer publish all details, so this would be meaingful to host somewhere.

DIY events are really the only way to get some subjective comparison between various speakers.... thereby allowing people like use to choose between 2 designs when all objective data seems equal.

Cheers,
David.

You should have come. I don't have a map in front of me, but I think Columbus is a shorter drive to Richmond, IN than Chicago (where I drove from).

I had a good time, despite a nasty cold I had all weekend.

The Aethers win again though they used different mid drivers than Iowa (TB W5-704D).

By the way, the real surprise of the event was the Super Budget class. Boy were there some knockouts in that price range!
