Just tried one of my TQWP's, I used Bert's design but with one driver, the Electrovision WQ035, this is a 5.1/4" FR, 92db, 45 watt dual cone unit. I was amazed, I could hear it down to 35hz and Eileen down to 28hz, she's got better hearing than me, I used the NCH Tone Generator. No sign of any comb filter effect the levels were pretty constant all the way up to 12khz again Eileen could hear it up to 15k!
Two things to mention, the damping is 1/2" furniture foam and the port a cardboard tube that was too large, I cut it marked where it should be and glued it together again, works fine. I must say that I'm very grateful to Bert for the design, Its really surprising to have such a small speaker that works over such a huge range. the next project is a Gainclone.
