Default Attention all Aussies !!! Jaycar HiVi !!

Go to Jaycar link, look at their new drivers, then compare with HiVi from PartsExpress !!!

They also have some poly versions that PE doesn't appear to have.

http://www1.jaycar.com.au/productRes...Min=&priceMax=

PS, also check page 4 of new stuff.

I should also add, that the yellow ones come boxed with response charts etc

PS, Jaycar also have one of the Isodynamic tweeters, which doesn't seem to match anything on the PE HiVi page, and the tweeter pictured below, which I thought was also a HiVi tweet.

Yeah, the black ones seem to be a cheaper line and have been out for several weeks, and are somewhat lacking in information.
I looked in the boxes for the more expensive drivers, and all the info seems to be on the leaflet.

I went in and purchased one of the 10" kevlar/paper yellow cone drivers today.

They're basically a direct rip off the dynaudio 30w100, they even slot into the same screw holes.

They're still wearing it in but i'll do a comparison to an original 30w100 as soon as they're worn in.

How'd you even discover those speakers on the Jaycar site?

I go to Speakers and Audio and then select HiFi Woofers but then there's only a much smaller selection of drivers, none of which are these new ones.

Quite simple really. I was informed of the existance and given all the product code numbers by the local Jaycar guy, who happens to be a friend of mine.

Also, on the home page, there is a NEW Products section, which lists all of the new products which haven't been slotted into the main catalog yet.

Another thing you guys might want to be aware of is that the 10" kevlar paper cone woofers (the dynaudio copies) are mispriced on their website.

When I went into jaycar, the 10" woofers are priced at $150aud in their system, they had to ring the manager to be able to sell them to me at the $120aud price advertised on the website.

If anyone is planning on buying the 10" then it might be a good idea to do so before they update their price on the website.

Qts of 0.44 in 10" unit ... not bad OB candidate, shame Xmax is only 8.3mm. I wonder how quiet it is in open baffle ?
