Hi, I picked up a pair of old speakers from a local recycling scheme with the intention of using them in my den. They are books shelf 3 ways speakers, in teak cabinets. The label is AUDIOTRONICS made in Japan 8 Ohm 20 watts nominal.
The grilles don't appear to be removable and I don't want to force them. the rear of each cabinet unscrews so I guess the drivers are secured from behind ? Hence as yet I have no idea what the drivers are. The cabinets look reasonably well made, but most speakers were in those days ? Anyone know anything about them ? I found some references on the web to Audiotronic turntables, which were the kind of TT with amp and mono speaker in a suitcase. we had something similar in my school. |
