I have some components in my parts bin from assorted things I had built in the past. I want to build a speaker that can exceed what I'm listening to now and have more bass extension. I'm currently listening to an old set of Celestion DL8 speakers which IMO actually sound really nice - just need to reach down lower.
Ok so the parts I have are the following. I have a pair of each... Vifa D27-TG-45 tweeters like these or are these... http://www.dansdata.com/images/lsk_f6/tweeters_1280.jpg Vifa M13-SG-09 5" woofers http://www.madisound.com/catalog/pro...6c91c238357890 Vifa P17WJ -00 6.5" woofers http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshow...number=297-305 Vifa M26WR-09 10" woofers http://www.oregondv.com/Vifa_Speakers_M26WR-09-08.htm So using some of these components can I achieve what I'm after? I'd rather not do seperate sub / satellite setup so a pair of speakers would be better. I'm guessing the 1", 5" and 10" would be the more logical combo and might have been done at sometime or other by someone? If you know of any guidlines to follow for a vifa 3 way with these drivers or close, that would be great. PS. I did make a bookshelf using the 5" and 1" long ago and it sounded really nice, but of course not that much bottom. |
