I know there are many design programs but was wondering if there are any drawing programs the will help with the design of the actual box. (But not autocad or something overkill)
What I'm particulary interested in is something that will automatically compute cutting angles on mdf or whatever when you're doing an enclosure that isn't just a right angle box. ? But beyond that, something nice and simple for drawing boxes, cutouts etc -- maybe with 3D. THANKS KINDLY |

If you just want a 3D program that is free and easy to use then nothing beats Google SketchUp. It will still require some effort on your part, for instance in calculating the box volume, but for making quick 3D models of your design it's pretty good.
