Default 4 ohm or 8 ohm woofer in 2 way

I am currently planning my first DIY build and have selected a 6 1/2 in woofer to go with a 1" tweeter in a sealed box 2-way system. The woofer in question comes in either a 4ohm or 8ohm version and I am wondering what is the best practice when you consider the tweeter is 4 ohm.

I have looked at the woofer specs and calculated some numbers and they definitely produce very different numbers when it comes to things like box volume etc. which I am prepared to work around if one of the woofers would better suit the tweeter.

Should a 4ohm tweeter be matched with a 4ohm woofer or does it make little difference to use a 8ohm woofer and correct the impedance difference in the crossover?

Thanks very much in advance!
