Default What is wrong with this speaker?

From a review -- is it overdamped? The bass was described with adjectives reminiscent of a Christmas pudding.

no, rather quite the opposite

appears to be a high Qts design (>1,4). The pudding sound is the result of an underdamped driver / box combination which leads to ringing at the resonance frequency.

I'm sure it sounds pretty upper-bass heavy. The low frequency roll-off is indicative of a ported enclosure. I'd have to look at the details, but that kind of peak may be fixable by lowering the tuning and/or changing the volume. I don't think over/under damping really captures the behavior here.

Close the port maybe the driver is best suited fore closed or box is way too small
