Default Eminence ME12-2008 project

Hi,

I acquired excelent pair of 12 inch Eminence ME12-2008 drivers, 8ohm version of ME12/200 series. After some investigation on the internet , it seems that this old model is later known as Eminence Delta 12-12'' 400W 8 Ohm, EMNDELTA12, Delta 12 and Eminence Delta-12A, as all of them have identical spec's.

The main T/S parameters are:
Fs 55Hz, Vas 81.3l, Qts 0.43
Useful operating range 55Hz to 5,5KHz
Sensitivity 98.3 dB (up to 100dB), full info on the:

I am considering to make 2 way bass reflex speaker, something similar to Pi b.r. speakers. I know that this driver is made for PA purposes and wondering whether it is enough suitable for home use, mostly at low/medium levels? I am not listening clasical music and pipe organ works.

Concerning speaker cabinet, I already have pair of 115 liter internal volume MDF box.

Although I have no previous excpirience with WinISD Pro, tried some simulations. Eminence Delta 12 is loaded in data base, and I made several attempts, but still have dilama about tuning frequency and what alignment should be the best for the box/driver combination. WinISD by itself, gave me the different optimal Vas=97,51l and Fs=51,99Hz (comparing to the factory specs 81.3l and 55Hz).I found somewere that sometimes manufacturers intentionaly give reduced data, due to price/economy reason and maybe this is here the case too??

For the volume of 115l, I think, the best response is when the box is tuned to app.50Hz. I wonder if anyone more expirienced and familiar can suggest the best compromise for this driver/enclosure. Box volume is easy to reduce from 115 l if necessary. Any opinions are welcome.

Concerning x-over, according to freq. graph between 1,5Khz and 5Khz, there is hump and I think that 12/db low pass filter at 1,5Khz can flatten the driver response upto 3Khz, when the tweeter can take over the rest (6 or 12 dB high pass??). freq.response:

I still have no idea for tweeter and sugestions are welcome too.

Thank's in advance
