Default Question from Tomas.

Hi

I just finilazed bass loudspeakers, armed with 1 piec 10"
fs 20Hz, qts 0,36,vas 166, eclosed in 60 liters sealed box.

I like a dry exakt bass with good transients. I work out wery good. Hovever i think the bass "pressure" in lower frekvenzes are to week, I like to increase the power in some way.

1. I f i put an additional same type of element under the previuos, but with the front directed in to the enclosure, is it possible to gain any more power due to som theoretical 100% enclosure increase? Isaobaric or something?

2.If i put aditional same type of element under the privious, in same way, but with front to the listener, i will get twice the membranarea, but each element will only have 30 liters/piec.
Is it possible to compensate this with some kind of parametric Eq or something?

Mabey some of you experts out there have som suggestions?

BR
Tomas

You can equalise, google 'Linkwitz transform',
but it's probably easiest to port your box (group delay should be inaudible at around 20Hz).

Which speaker driver are you using?
