Default Piezo film used in 300 degree radiated tweeters

Anyone know where this stuff can be obtained from?

Has anyone tried to DIY a speaker like this? Even the tweeter by itself? It looks promising...can't say I have ever listened to a design like this though...

Pioneer made some half a can super tweeters and also some full can tweeters and super tweeters out of the piezo film material. They were found in the HP 40 through HP 100 series speakers and are on ebay fairly often. If you put the EnABL pattern on the short side of the film diaphragm, after coaxing the unnecessary protective screen off, they really are superb, for super tweeters.

There were also headphones made from this material, by Pioneer, back in the 80's. They were not sold in the US, but I did hear a pair, for an extended period of time and they were the equal of electrostatics of the time.
