Good morning from Estonia.
I was here before similar topic about this project. So I am gonna do 3-way. Finally i got my Audax from France, I bought this one:

I read some good reviews about this driver, so I decided to use it. My system gonna be MTMWW.

Then tweeter:

and also woofer:

Of course my budegt is already "broken", but its something where you cant count every dollar. I am gonna use alo different sofrware like FRD tools plus SpeakerWorkshop for crossover design. Before I am gonna use those, I am waiting some suggestion about crossover.
What should be approx., crossover points and is there something particular doing cross. for those elements?!

Woofer ? it must the Dayton 8" Reference ... a bit low sensitivity, with double mids you may be a little low on bass output ... why not the 10" ??

I would cross a bit high ... 300-500hz ... but maybe not with these Dayton
Using double midwoofers you may be able to use them fullrange(bass) ... depending on goal fore SPL
A cheap plateamp may not cost more than the passive xo components saved

That Audax does seem fairly nice, aside from the short xmax, as previously stated. Hrmmm...I don't think I've ever seen that one either. Oh yeah..I hope you're not planning on flush mounting these drivers in their baffles. It's usually a bit of a pain. But then again, I've never bothered with those types of driver frames, so what do I know? Goodluck. :)
