I have a question regarding the drawing attached to post #24 in this thread. I shows to side firing woofer, one on each side of the cabinet.

Whether this concept is used on not, I still have a question about the wiring polarity of these woofers.

Wired in Electrically in Phase - on a positive going bass pulse one is going to move to the right and the other is going to move to the left.

Wire Electrically Out Phase - on a positive going bass pulse BOTH are going to move to the left or both to the right, but they are both going to move physically in the same direction.

Which would be the proper way to wire the woofers, electrically IN Phase, which seems to be mechanically out of phase, or electrically OUT of Phase, which seems to be mechanically in phase?

Just curious.

try this !!!

try to do 3 way or the maximum 3.5way
my favorite is 3.5 way 2 units of 7'' 1 of 4''
and tweeter of 1''
the drivers can change by budget and sound charachters
and type of music that you like

i took the response 5 one step forward
the only diffrance is that i use 3'' dome midrange

best regards
