Nice. I have a pair of both of those drivers. Care to show the crossover schematics?

Sure. Cascaded 2nd order XOs with a single 10 ohm resistor. Surprisingly simple.

Very kind of you. Thanks
Oh, and what is the size of the enclosure and port?
Is the tweeter recessed in a roundover (waveguide loaded)?

Side view, slightly cropped. Part of the building challenge is that these 4" pipes are all different depending on the manufacturer.

Default AuarSound tweeter as super tweeter for JX92S?

Hi Timn8tr,

I am looking for a decent rear mounted tweeter that would lend itself as a super tweeter crossed over with a simple cap to a Jordan JX92S.
I would allow the JX92S to run fullrange without any components in the signal path. I just want to extend it's upper frequency response some what with a good sounding tweeter.

I am wondering what you think about the sound quality of the AuraSound tweeter and it's possible use for this application?
This tweeter is cheap enough to try and discard if it does not work out.

Sorry for the thread jacking.

I would appreciate yours, or anyone elses input of possible tweeter candidates to mate with the JX92S as a super tweeter?

Thanks

Norris Wilson

The FR above 5kHz is quite good with the NT1. I think it is definitely worth a try. Like you said, the price is right.

The tweeter is rear mounted on the 3/4" thick front baffle while the woofer is front mounted. Yes, the tweeter through hole is rounded over on the front. Interestingly, this appears to have brought the acoustic centers of the two drivers near the same vertical plane.

Default Sensitivity?

Timn8tr, what kind of sensitivity are you getting with this setup? The ns3 is stock a fairly low dB, just wondering how the enclosure and port affect the final outcome.
