Default Kef 107 - refoaming woofers

Hi
I am the original owner of a pair of Kef 107's that need the woofers refoamed. Anyone know where I can get the required parts?
thanks,

Well, being a bandpass which probably doesn't go above ~150Hz, IMO it doesn't really matter what brand of replacement surround you use. You really just want to make sure it is the same dimensions as the original. It is worth looking for an OEM recommended part nonetheless.

I always really liked the idea behind the 107's. I've never heard a pair, though. I know they were highly reviewed and quite $$$. Do you have a KUBE?

Yes, I would use replacement foam surrounds from other manufacturers, although I have read that the 10" woofers (2 per side) are somewhat unique, so it may be difficult to find other ones that fit. I have read in this forum that the surrounds for an Advent 11" will work. I didn't know such a thing existed.

To answer your question, yes I have the original KUBE and it works perfectly.

Hi there,

i am just about to send my drive units for my 107's to a place that kef themselves recommended, visit www.loudspeakers.co.uk.
They are really helpful, obviously i can't vouch for their work as of yet but i have heard good things only so far, so not bad.
Total rebuild on a b250 bass driver is £40+VAT and postage but if it is just re-foam then i think they said £30.
