In order to put some nice BR cabinets, that I had spare, to some use (the drivers and crossovers of my original design are being fitted to a TL design) I have built Edo's Iris Mk2 system using Seas CA18RLY (H1217) , and Seas 27TDF (H1211).

See http://home.versatel.nl/chiararomee/diy/indexeng.htm

Seas CA18RLY: http://www.intertechnik.de/module/1381023.pdf

The volume of my cabinets are 41 litres NET. The Iris Mk2 design is 31.6 liters. I have adjusted the port length of the Jetline 60 tube as recommended by Edo by reducing the length to 130mm.

What is the best way to reduce the cabinet volume?
What difference in the sound can be expected if I leave the cabinets at 41 liters?

Hi,

The Vas of the driver is 37 litres. 32 litres is a better choice than
41 litres but once you have 41 litres there is no point in reducing
the cabinet volume unless the driver is too overdamped.

For 41 litres the 32 litre port should be fine as its automatically
detuned by the larger cabinet size. Shown blue/yellow and
red/green have the same port size, the latter ~ 33% longer.
