Hi,

I'll add Troels Gravesen to the list.

The three sites recommended above are the best IMHO. If you want an additional option look at the kits and projects on www.partsexpress.com - you can buy everything you need to do any of the builds right from the site - very convenient.

Yeah, I was gonna post 'em all, but decided at the last minute not to steal all the fun and let others post, lol.

And yes, several of the projects at the link below would be great for a first timer (even myself), especially considering the relatively low cost of most of them. On the other hand, I wouldn't dare mess with any of the complete kits they offer, as they just don't really seem to be worth the price IMO. But then again, I'm just making assumptions and haven't really heard them either. As previously mentioned, though, the custom projects listed below might be of interest. I'm pretty sure these are what sdclc126 was referring to anyway..

Also, and perhaps even better, are some of the kits at Madisound. However, they still seem to be having a scarce supply of cabinets. They seemed great over the phone last time I called a while back, very helpful, so don't hesitate to give them a call if you end up seriously interested in anything they offer. Anyway, they're very popular, been around for a long time. Their crossover design is pretty top notch, and I've seen recommendations for all of their kits, and had the opportunity to listen to a couple..
