Default How to use this driver?

At the NorCal DIY event last weekend, I won an Usher 1001A woofer as a door prize, courtesy of Parts Express, one of the event sponsors.

I realize that this driver is perhaps not in the same league as a Peerless XXLS, but is the Usher 10" generally pretty decent?

I'm thinking of buying a mate for a subwoofer pair. Would this work OK in a sealed application?

Finally, there appear to be 1001A and 1001B versions. Does anyone know the difference?

Q is a little on the low side for sealed IMO given the 29Hz fs. Still a sealed box a on the order of 1.5 ft^3 should get you into the mid to high fourties. A vented of 3 to 4 ft^3 should get you down to thirty or a bit less.

Transmission line might work OK too. You don't have a lot of efficiency to work with so sealed with EQ though possible might have limited SPL capabilities.

Worth playing with it. If you have sufficient room gain it could work for a basic woofer but not really a sub IMO.
