Hi,
unfortunately, no one has answer my last thread so far... That may be very well my own fault, since it doesn't read well and is quite long...I therefore splitted the main questions, I hope this will lead to a good discussion Do you think, that a combination of a 2'' (morel mdm 55) plus 0.75'' (hiquphon owII), crossed 675/3300; 24dB/48dB, will bring more benefits, than a combination of a 3'' (dynaudio d76af) and 1'' (peerless hds 810921), crossed 500/2500; 24dB/48dB? I am well aware, that dispesrion is better for the first, but... Thanks for discussion Regards, Leif |

Depends on the tone of the drivers at selected crossovers and
matching with low frequency transducer. |

It's a personal preference question.
I would go with the 3" because of the lower xover point.

two questions 1 what tye of x-over active or passive? the 2" mid/high and 3/4 ti dome work great now that I have the delays sorted. i am active on the mid and passive on the woofers and the obvous advantage is placement proxcimity.second I feel the tweeter is faster and more percise since the move from 3"bravox usid in there high end atlantic technolog luckly i was able to secur 2'TB and run active after beeing this market so long people can not accept the great sound of these newsmall driversthe 2" drivers allowed me to take away the rough spot of the aura tweeter the woofers i used were audax aerogel 4.5 car selloutfrom madisound and i have eliminated there 1500-2000k break up. MY DRIVER LAYOUT IS STRICTLY FOR HOME THEATRE.I"LL ATTACH SOME PICS

Hi,
thanks for the replies so far. Tghe question has answered itself just some days ago, since I got a great offer for two Dynaudio 30W. I will therefore combine these with my existing D76AF and add the Peerless HDS tweeter. When everything is done, I will let you know; however, this may take some months... However, I still cannot judge, what is better, and if there is a "significant" difference at all... Best and thanks, Leif |

Personally I go with the old saying:
"There is no replacement for cubic displacement" Works for speakers and Hot Rod engines! |
