Default FRD consortium's ARPE doesn't work with my office :(

Hi,

both ARPE and ARPE lite don't work with both windows Excel 2003 and Excel 2004 on mac in German.
Don't work means, I do not get any plot for both horizontal and vertical patterns.

Does anyone know, what the problem might be?

Thank you very much for help. It is a great spreadsheet, but...

Best,
Leif

I can send you a much simpler one, but first make sure you have enabled the analysis toolpak and vba.

Email me if you want the simple spreadsheet.

Microsoft was kind enuff to have not ported visual basic over to the Mac. Most of these sheets don't work all that well on any flavour of Excel on the Mac (and the FRd doesn't seem that concerned)

dave

(and to think it took till V3 (IIRC) of Excel before it was ported from the Mac to Windoz)

Thanks for letting me know. I will check later that day and may come into contact with you, if things are not improving.

Just as a clarification, after rereading my post.

My simple spreadsheet does not need VBA, just the analysis toolpak. It may even work with open office, but the charting compatibility in open office sux in comparison to excel, so the charts often break on my old spreadsheets when opened with open office.

My spreadsheet does not have the fancy, IMO obfuscated, GUI of the FRD products. Most of my spreadsheets are visually pretty sparse, I am not interested in appearance, just testing out ideas. Most of them took much less than an hour to make.

Ron, those sound like a step up... if you are willing to distribute i'd love to have a copy...

And if Open Office's charts suck compared to Excel then they must really be bad, because Excel's are barely adequate.
