Default Opinions wanted: best speaker/combination to render voice?

I'm having a hard time finding a full range speaker or a 2 way combo that will render human voices in a natural way.
I'm looking for something that, when I'm not looking at the speaker, will create the illusion of a real person being there....

What would you recommend?
Thanks

Lowering your expectations.

Default best speakers for voice

ahaha....funny.
I recall a review of Manger drivers, the reviewer's wife in the other room had the impression of hearing a live person talking...
Unfortunately I never had the pleasure to hear a Manger, maybe there is someone who had.
Maybe there are now cheaper solutions that work well.
All posts are welcome.

Greets!

A recording studio standard duplex that's even better than the earlier versions used to master the majority of recorded music can fool you when electrically phased correctly and driven with appropriate electronics: http://www.greatplainsaudio.com/downloads/604_8H_II.pdf

Don't put too much faith in the critical listening abilities of reviewers, or their wives.

6-8" FR driver in OB with the driver at ear level. Place several feet from any wall and be sure to have something on the back wall to diffuse the backwave (bookshelves e.g.).

The best vocals I have ever heard came from a set of salvaged philco 8" single cone AlNiCo FRs that came out of a console set placed in particle board baffles 3' high x 2' wide with unequal length (5" and 7") wings and a 4" top plate.

IMO,
a speaker which reproduces 300Hz-5KHz.
IMO electrostatic or similar.

Default only voice?

well , FR of course, no x-over. Take yer pick: Lowther, AER, Fostex, Hemp Acoustics, old Altecs...

The "Fonken" enclosure and Fostex based speaker is excellent, depending on your amplification. Personally I've found them to be startling. Planet 10's/chris b's work is very impressive (and I'm not easy to impress). I also like the Hemp FR8 (I own a pair), which produce really nice sounds in a 20 litre box.

Niether have deep bass but deliver from midbass on up. Slightly different "flavours", but both excellent

It can be done with a conventional looking two-way, but it must be finely tuned with good drivers, and then only with the right recording and source component.

How much are they asking for this driver?
