I've just got back from a seconds store, and saw a pair of 15 inch drivers purporting to be Magnavox. Except:
Has anyone ever seen anything like these, or should I ask on full-range?

Hi Cloth Ears,
I once was given a pair of 8" Magnavox speakers that match your description, I think they were made in Aus & had very good build quality, magnets were ceramic with a red plastic cover. Probably made in the 70's before manufacturing was given up here? Unfortunately the cones had had too much booze spilled on them over the years to rescue... If they work & the price is right, probably worth grabbing.... (OB project, small magnet = high Q?) Pete McK |

Confirming that they are indeed Magnavox.
I saw a picture of a pair just yesterday :-) Doug

Only one pair now. The pair in the local shop (which looked better than the scratched magnet cover versions on ebay) took a walk for $100 sometime in the last 24 hours. I'll have to see about these other ones...
