Default Box size for Madisound swifty kit

I have read lot of threads in this forum and now building my first speaker.
I want to start with small project so I ordered the swifty kit from Madisound.

I have small room for them so I will position the speaker about 40cm or less, from the rear wall.
The original box is 12" high and has a rear bass reflex port

I wonder if I can make the box higher and move the port to the front without changing the crossover.

Thank you for your help

Yes you can but a rear port will be fine 10cm away from a wall.
