I have been thinking about this for some time and would appreciate your views.
Looking to build an open baffle with 'wings' on the sides - yet to determine the full dimentions but have a couple of 6.5 projects to consider
http://www.troelsgravesen.dk/OBS.htm
http://www.rzaudio.com/rz52/rzss.htm
The driver parameters are as follows:
Dynaudio 17W75xl
Qts 0.46
Qes 0.60
Qms 2.00
VAS 20
fs 40hz
Re 5.1
Le 0.23
Sd 120cm2
Bl 5.7
Sensitivity - about 85 - 87db
It will be mated with a Dynaudio D260, and I already have the Dynaudio recommended crossover built and speakers are housed in teh Dynaudio 25L ported enclosure.
I am looking for more airy mids and highs, and will cross to an active closed box woofer. I will retain the passive crossover for the top.
Do you think this design brief is feasable or ridiculous?
