Hey guys,
I built some speakers using a PHL 1120, Morel Supreme, Lambda 12" w the single faraday ring. I tested them using ground plane measurements at 2m in a gym. I designed the active crossover using LSPCad and theoretically should get plus or minus 1.1db from 55hz to 20khz. I built the crossover with a delta audio active 1 circuit board and it tested nearly identical to the theoretical transfer function. + or - .1 or .2db. Anyways, the sound is amazing. However sometimes the bass seems a little too overpowering. This is especially true for movies where the bass in someones voice makes it difficult to understand what they are saying. So I was going to either seal the box, or put on a switchable filter to tame the bass a little. What do most ppl use for this problem? |
