As a few of you know,
i am in the process of building a new house, wich will contain a few different audio systems. One of wich is my HT room in the basement... Now i need help for the room itself! i have a 26' by 20' square space for it, and i can do almost anything "crazy" i want with the walls please keep in mind the following: - surround system will consist of nearfield line arrays, and an IB sub bass array of a few 18-21" - house is build completly with ICF ( foam isolated concrete walls and ceiling on this room) and i would like to do the walls with this material - front screen width is of 100", so it require a minimum of front size for screen + mains + subs here is a picture of a quick layout of what would be a possibility ... ![]() i'd also like advices on possible reflection treatments .. |

26 x 0,618 = 16
16 x 0.618 = 9.9 Do you have room for 9' 10" ceilings (9.618:1:1.618 is the AES recommended room dimension ratio.... dave

14.25 x 1.618 = 23 So your avaerage dimensions should be 23x14.5 x 23 That leaves a whole bunch of unised space --- use it for your woofers or... almost as good 8,5 x 1.732 = 14.75 14.75 x 1.732 = 25.5 (still leaves ~850 ft^3 for woofers) Quote:

Hi, might give you some ideas, angled walls reduce flutter echo, may not be needed depending on the acoustic treatment. /sreten.
