Default Any one used Scan Speak 22W885x woofers?

Has anyone have any experience with the Scan Speak 22W/8851T00 (paper) or 22W/8857T00 (aluminium) 8" woofers?

Basically how they fare against other 8" drivers you've used.... better, much better, hugely better or maybe worse.

How's the lower mid performance or mid performance up to 1000Hz..... the maximum frequency you crossed over...... at what orders?

Is the SPL on the datasheet correct as they seem quite low?

Any pitfalls using these?

Thanks.

Unfortunately they do have a rather low spl...

Well the midrange is great...sometimes the bass can distort midrange a little on 2 way's but no its perfect. The bass is real great sounds clear and clean has punch sort of sound to it if you know what i mean.

i have a set coupled with the scanspeak d9000 (i think thats the model #) tweeters and struggle to find a better sounding set of speakers. im sure you wont be let down by them.

Thanks for the info as I'm just doing some research. I was looking at using them for bass only below 200Hz.

Good to know that the low SPL on the datasheet is factual.
