Default Good 5.1 speakers

I'm going to be making a 5.1 surround sound project. Can anybody recommend me some good speakers + a good subwoofer? Nothing too expensive, but not too crappy quality. Open to any suggestions. Thanks.

You need to be much more specific. Include things like budget, maximium speaker size and how loud do you intend it to play ect.

This might work. I have not heard that tweeter tho. Probably kind of bright tho since it has been used in some loud speakers before.

This page has some great stuff too.

I'm interested in building the MTs for my folks. I've heard the tweeter before and I like it. It's smooth and natural. I've only heard daytons 6.5s, but the smaller woofer is suppose to sound better in the mid range.

Many projects to choose from. It helps to know the style of speakers you like tho.

Well budget is probably under $200 on all speakers. Speaker size doesn't really matter, and loudness would be a normal surround sound volume, not cinema loud but enough to feel the woofer from my seat.

Hi,

Steve at ApexJr. has some decent subs for a low budget system:

I've listened to this at Planet10's place and he has a BIG room to fill and he does it with these

Cheers!
