Question Beyma 12CX - PA only of usable for hifi ?

Hi !

I'm thinking of buying Beyma 12CX co-axial speakers,
but I cannot seem to find any 'user-reviews' on the internet

I can however find stuff like guitar-cabs, PA-monitor use,
and some guys who have them in Karlson enclosures.
But are they usable as quality hi-fi speakers ?

I plan to use them on single ended triodes

If you have / had them, please tell me what you think of 'em,
and please tell me what cabinets you use(d)

Cheers,

Empee

Hi,

According to the parameters around 3cuft tuned to 40Hz would work well.
Normal "PA" type crossovers will likely not compensate for baffle step.
Many "high efficiency" designs also ignore baffle step.

You might want to consider the Monacor SP-30PAX

Sreten- that's the nice way of putting it... I generally choose to use "Are liars" for those companies making 'high efficiency' speakers without BSC. That camp (commercially) includes such ilk as Zu, claiming 101 dB and extension to 30Hz out of a couple cubic feet....
