Default Baffle step Question for unusual enclosure

HI all. I want to experiment with small drivers mounted at the end of a PVC pipe.Will baffle step comp need to be changed relative to a coventional box? Also will the low end rolloff be affected also?This is my first post here, I see some very talented poeple post here.Thanks...

Download THE EDGE baffle difraction simulator from
http://www.tolvan.com/edge/help.htm
Then you can play with different baffle sizes and shapes.

For the effect of different enclosure shapes, here is a page from a report published in 1936!

Yes, if the speaker is directed towards the listener, this baffle shape is not principally different than any other baffle shape. This one is just circular.

One thing that I fint interesting with circular baffles, though, is that they behave very differently depending on how large proportion of the surface that is covered by the driver. This can be clearly seen in the The Edge sim below.
