Default odd configuration

I am dabbling with a design for a small, tower-shaped, triamped 3-way in which the low freq will be produced by a pair (per side) of Linkwitz-boosted MCM 55-2421's. The amp will not tolerate these unless wired in series, so it would require an unconventional arrangement. I have done searches and looked at Isobaric, push-push, push-pull but none of them seem to match what I am looking for.

What if each driver were in its' own sealed enclosure, with one facing forward and the other facing the rear? Is there a simpler solution?
