I have 2 of these high quality 6" Alpine component car woofers, and 2 vifa XT25TG30-04 tweeters. They are both 4 ohms, and the Alpines have soft spider-surrounds, just like home woofers. I also have two 0.5 cf enclosures, with no cutouts yet, and thinking of designing a crossover for them, but no specs are avail from Alpine.
Is it worth trying, or better get two $30 6" Daytons from PartsExpress? But these alpines look very high quality, with cast frames, heavy magnets, and aluminum phase plugs. What to do? |

Go with the Daytons - the Alpines might look nice but I guarantee you the Daytons will outperform them. I have them in my speakers.

So, for my 0.5 cu ft ~ 14L box the RS-150 or RS-180 is more suitable?

For 0.5 cu. ft. I'd recommend the RS150, though either one will probably be OK; the 180 can be crossed to a sub a little lower.
