It seems to be a capable driver, but I have not seen much use of it in projects.

No direct experience but here's a design by non other than Dr. Joseph D'Appolito himself:

Incidentally, the 8945A woofer is supposed to be one of the best, the 8945B possibly better - both are tested and reviewed here: http://www.zaphaudio.com/6.5test/

That is precisely why I asked.
It puts it in the same price range as the SEAS 27 TDFC and with crossover bits, I can get free shipping with the purchase. I would love to know if any of you die hards had any listening experience with it. I am quite a novice at this and wanted to tap into any existing knowledge. I'll check into the PE project and see what info I can glean out of it. Thanks, Jason |
