Some very useful reflex alignments are the QB5 II filter assisted variety, described here

http://sound.westhost.com/qb5align.htm

these optimise the coupling between the driver and the Helmholtz resonator and can greatly increase the excursion limited power handling of a given driver.

When suitably scaled these can be used in conjunction with the high pass "small front" filter found in 5.1 systems, allowing a smaller satellite to fill a larger room with minimum distortion.

Hi,

Whilst it does what it says on the tin, it is still a poor acoustic choice
for the proper bass end of a system, good for satellites with higher
order acoustic crossover slopes to the subwoofer, if that is wanted.

for your Help in understanding vented alignments. I am
honored at your responses and have cut and pasted each.
Kudo's to each for your contributions to little such as I.

PS. Thanks

Again... I feel honored to be in the presence of Giants.
