Default Peerless 3 way

Hi there,

I'm wondering if you can help me I'm thinking of getting a pair of Peerless xls 10 830452s to make a pair of speakers.I really like the looks of the spendor s9s or there abouts I already have a pair of Volt LS201s mid bass units and a pair of Vifa XT25TG30-04 tweeters .Could these units work together ?

Best Regards

Anthony

Hi Anthony,
Within reason, you can make anything work together. Some combinations are better than others. I've built entirely with Peerless before, and entirely with Vifa.

Why not find a completed design that you like that uses your woofer?

Volt LS201, I guess that they have medium high sensitivity ... if so you should find a better woofer, but it may depend how you plan to use your woofer
SPL and Fs on the Volt please, what kind of driver is it really, PA/studio ?

Hi there,

Chris I cant find any info on these units bring used together

on the volt website the LS201 is described as a studio/hi-fi unit. They suggest to use a reflex enclosure.

Here's the spec sheet on the LS201 http://www.voltloudspeakers.co.uk/Lo...ody_ls201.html
I'm thinking of having separate enclosures one for the the MF/HF and one for the LF Peerless unit.

Regards

Anthony

Ok, quite normal then

I think the xls are subs only, which means active xo well below 100hz

As woofers with passive xo these two xxls might be better options, but they will need a notch filter

Hi,
I would do that, 1.st order on the tweeter at 5K and attenuation of 2dB's (4 ohms), the Volt does not need.
