Get yourself Dickason's Loudspeaker Design Cookbook, but make sure you read and understand ALL the section on crossovers. You will need measuring mic etc to obtain the acoustic response of the individual drivers.

http://www.rjbaudio.com/Audiofiles/FRDtools.html The XG18 sensitivity is not high enough for the two bass units. You need to add a trap filter to the L22's. |

Hi,
You could go active bass/ mid, passive mid/treble with 2 stereo amplifiers. Somewhat easier, design flexibility wise. Or build this with some mods for the tweeter substitution : http://www.rjbaudio.com/AlpheusMkII/alpheusmkii.html Wilmslow Audio design service : Give all the details of baffle layout and slope from the david / jericho design. Also specify no BSC on the mid unit and the bass section must fill in the Baffle step as in the D/J. Also specify trap filters must be used on bass units. Mid driver : Seas ER18RNX is your best bet IMO. |
