Default Just a simple sketch....

I have a pair of TB W3-593, and a pair of Audax 6.5" woofers that I need to use.

So I'm playing around with sketches.

What y'all reckon?

Hey.... no portraits allowed. It needs ears.

I got my Mongrel to work, so this should have no problems. I'm interested to see how you fare with the fullrange top end Andy.

ROFL... Andy! You're a hoot! What are the diffraction aspects of big ears and maybe bow ties.

looks interesting. the key, of course, is proper design of the "bouncer" between the drivers. Maybe a simple straight sided cone to preserve the drivers' original dispersion in an omnidirectional shape.

You'll also want the baffles (what the drivers are mounted to) to be free of secondary reflections I'd imagine. Think driver --> bouncer --> baffle --> your ear. If the "bouncer" sends waves back at the baffle you could have odd artifacts.

I'd be interested to see the results.

Andy

Have you thought about doing a bookshelf size speaker with those drivers?

Another serious thought on your sketch is a Triffid with the TB3" on top of a curved stalk.
