Default Cygnet Mk2

I wanted to hear any reviews on these if anyone has built them.

http://www.madisound.com/cygnet2.html

Also, does anyone know how sensitive they are and what ohms they run? I read that they can go down to 40hz, but is that -3 or 10db?

I emailed madisound and I'm waiting to hear back from them. Either way, I wanted to read anything anyone else wanted to say.

I read a few post and people seemed to like them. Only one complaint that they didn't have enough bass. It's for a living room stereo, so I don't need huge bass, just enough for my music doesn't sound like it's missing something.

Hi,

Excursion of the bass drivers is pretty good.
You could make the cabinets somewhat bigger (taller / deeper).

Does Madisound not like to give out specs? I directly asked for the sensitivity of this kit, and they didn't give it to me?!?!?!!? This was in a email, but still.

The drivers are around 90db, but I didn't know what it would be after a crossover.

I finally got a answer if anyone else is interested.

About 88 dB, nominal 6 ohms load.

Hi,

according to : http://seas.no/seas_line/woofers/H511.PDF
88dB would indicate designed to be used near a rear wall.

Default Recently built Cygnet

Hello, I recently built the cygnet. I'm very happy with the overall speaker. For the price I would highly recommend.

I got my kit running today. VERY nice. My fears of not enough bass was put to rest quickly. Also, mids are wonderful for a two way with a 8" woofer.

A great kit and $500 very well spent.

Excellent! The speaker will sound even better once it is broken in. Have fun...
