May sound like a silly question... but here is the gist:
I am looking for some discontinued Vifa drivers which aren't available anymore at the usual DIY places. A local junk store as some closeout speakers that look like they have Vifa drivers. I'd rather not bring an Allen key to the store and start pulling drivers out to see the model numbers - there are codes on the front surround of the 6.5" woofers (141C). This would be a seriously good source of drivers - so I may just risk it and buy a pair to see (they cannot be returned - just exchanged for the same item) Do the codes on the front plastic mounting rings mean anything or are they just plastic part numbers? Thanks to the experts in advance... |

The number on the surround is just the surround manufactures number, It can not be used to determin what driver it is.
It is also difficult because even if it is a standard Vifa driver, manufactures have there own numbers on it, ....and then it is heavely modified and furter developed and much much better than the standard type..... |
