So use it...and don't oligatory agree with your quote "But in practice it usually is quite a bit difference..." lol assuming that my purpose in this mater was to point out that the width of your baffle has to be calculated to not create a bump at the 3rd HD peak...you could even create a little dip at this fr.

well, if the H1 is constant at this frequency, I think I'd better try to have it flat. At least as a start.

If the project starts soon enough, I'll still have access to the tools to measure the speakers (TS parameters, frequency response, distortion, non linear parameters...)

My guess is that if you don't manage this 3rd HD you will hear it. But yes, proof is in the listening and measurements.
