Default Open Baffles...eventually surround

Hello all,

Long time no see (?) or, nice to meet you .

Anyhow, my friend will be looking for surround speakers soon enough and it seems the drivers that I've chosen don't get very much spot light and I'm quite surprised by this. Anyhow, about the only drivers that I will not change are the tweeter and mid-bass drivers. I have used the mid-bass drivers and think that for the money there isn't very much competition-if any. Drivers from Seas/SS will just require more money and more filtering to correct for cone resonance and inconsistent/poor bass response in Open Baffles.

Here is the list:

Peerless DX25TG05-04 very good tweeters with excellent dispersion below 20khz and extension-on axis-to 40khz. Any ideas on a cross-over that has been made?

Silver Flute W14RC25-04 I will use two of these for each speaker, I expect good dynamics and would like a very clean-open midrange. Good response to 2000-3500Hz (x-over around 2-2.5khz).

Peerless 830317 303SWR3908-Large and cheap, any experience? Little info on the net.

Peerless 850137 X217WR3304-Smaller and cheaper, enough information for building a box, roll-off can be equalized for the small room that these will be situated in. I will be using two of these in vented enclosures for the LFE channel. I am open to comments on these for the OBs. I expect to use the woofer up to 150Hz.

Since the room is small, I expect to have the system become 5.1 and bi-amp the front speakers. Remember, small room, so crazy XLSs are probably not required.

System so far:
Pioneer Elite VSX84TSi
Pioneer Elite DV46AV
Panamax M8HC-Pro

As always, thanks in advance.
