In this pic, taken from an awkward angle above while standing on a chair, "The Juke" is lying on its back, with the drivers sitting free. Just for a pic !! Still lots of work to do to bring it to life, but I'm winning !! |

Yep, I agonised for ages about the bass cab colour. I nearly went black, but ''boring'...., and there is a burgundy coat underneath that just didn't work for me. So blue it is !!
Thing is, I can always detach the front and re-colour if I decide to. |

Nope.. but they will assimilate you. !!
They are actually ALIVE now. crikey.. I need a bigger room.. these things have just got sooo much grunt !!! first hour was a bit harsh, but a couple of resistor tweaks, and they are sounding rather good. Rabbitz, you about somewhere.. you gotta see these beasties first hand :-))) |

Impressive looking speakers Andy. Jaycar Response woofers too if I am correct. May I ask what is the tweeter and the other woofers?

Bass: Jaycar CW-2136: 8ohm each in parallel
Mids: Vifa MG18SK-09-04: 4ohm each in series tweeter: Seas 27TDFC. I like the Jaycars for bass, they seem to do a very good job. The Vifa MG's are sweet mids, could have used them for a boxed MTM, but these are running open back , so the bass drivers are a must And the Seas tweet.. well enough said ;-)) |

I'll have to arrange a visit. I'm on the road on Thursday in the PM.... could do 2pm or 5pm. How's the lower xo on the woofer compared to the Blackwood? Seems a nice crossover point and one of the advantages of the 6.5" mids for sure. I'm in a middle of a rework of the main system but no major changes to the speaker except for 1 resistor going up and down 0R4. |
