Has anyone used the WR125 in a MTM design with a dome tweeter they would care to share? I currently have four of these I am not using and would like to make some small office speakers with them.

I hear the WR125 makes a great OB, but for an office setup?..
![]() I like the Vifa D26NC55, but I've never seen it used with the CSS drivers. On the other hand, Exodus Audio uses a 1" silk dome in their Kit 41, but I don't know anything about it.. Looks like it might be a Hi-Vi. Regardless, I think it's too large for an MTM. Anyway, I'm mainly just axious to see some replies, as I currently have a thing for these CSS WR125 and FR125 drivers. They do seem like great candidates for smaller systems. |

I offered these for a while. Since I'm not in the finished speaker business anymore I could share the design with you.

Yeah, Timn8er. I'd be interested in your design if you're willing to share it! I bought 1/2 dozen of the ST's a while back, but still haven't had time to develop anything... What were your impressions with the Rosa, BTW?

Hi Glenn, I've sent you a pm.
Overall, it's a very pleasent and enjoyable speaker to listen to; smooth and revealing without being harsh. I found the Rosa LCR to be a bit more forward than standard TM designs, which is typical of MTMs in my experience, but not at all an in-your-face type of sound. This makes it very pleasent to listen to when it comes to vocals especially. The system made for a relatively easy-to-design crossover. I went with a 4th order just below 3kHz. It rolls off naturally around 50Hz which makes for easy blending with a subwoofer. Sensitivity is around 88db with good power handling ability. The April 2006 issue of Affordable Audio includes a review of the speaker. http://www.affordableaudio.org/aa2006-04.pdf In 2007 I lowered the XO point and added internal damping to the cabinet which improved the mid-range even further. |

Tim, could you resend the pm? Seems I neglected to update my user profile here when I changed ISPs a while ago... New email address is now posted. Thanks again!
