Default Suggestions for good 6.5' woofer

Hi peoples,

Looking at revamping my home made tower speakers.

Present configuration ...

25 litre vented towers behind lounge chairs in a corner, there just wide enough for the (Jaycar CW2107) 6.5" driver with about 15mm each side spare (this is the side panel), there matched with Vifa D19 tweeter, using (Jaycar) stock cross over @ 3,500Hz 12db.

If and when I ever get my active cross over going it will be used on these speakers.

I've had a look at what's available (In Australia), Extremis 6.8 ($300 pair with freight) or Peerless 830875 ($230 pair)

Have to check if Extremis (86db) will fit width wise but the Peerless should with it's truncated sides + more sensitive @ 88db.

Or any other driver that you may suggest ?

This option would be the cheapest and easiest to pass the finance officer strict guidelines

Or my other interests ...

These may have trouble passing the guidelines but would give it a go after a bottle or two of red wine

Thks Greg
