Does anyone have a frequency chart for this 12" driver? I am thinking of making a two way using this and a horn tweeter crossed around 3.5K. TIA, Godzilla |

You may have issues with beaming and cone break up but neither of those seem to be given much weight in the PA industry.
![]() Consider a lower XO point. |

I had a pair of 12" pioneer drivers, slaped them together with a couple cheap tweeters. Was good enough for the workshop but not for the house. IMHO the drivers are junk.

The frequency plot will probably look quite horrific. I've wanted to do a similar thing but there are crazy peaks and notches in the response of most 12" PA speakers

Its a guitar driver and they all have intended midrange peaking
This 10" Eminense may be a better choise, its supposed to be a widerange bass driver so it should have some punch, but could still be tricky to get it right http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshow...Number=290-495 |

Thanks for the input guys!
Can anyone recommend something interesting in terms of a 12" driver and a horn tweeter i can use at home with low power tubes or the SI digital amp. Something loud... something obnoxious... but listenable. TIA, Godzilla |

You intend to use these for home listening? You need something better than a PA driver or it'll just scream at you like a cattle auctioneer. What's your budget for these?
