Hello all,
I am "hotrodding" a set of monitors for some folks doing a film project, and by hotrodding I mean replacing everything but the cabinets, lol. Anyways, I am stuck with drivers that will fit in the already finished cabinets. The midbass is going to be a Hi Vi D6.8, as it is the highest quality driver that will fit the cutout, and have a correct sized box. I am going to be doing a very complete passive XO, including full Victor Staggs impedance correction of both the low and high drivers, allpass driver alignment, etc. What I need is a 95mm diameter, or less, tweeter that can be safely and cleanly used with a 4th order LR target filter at 1.5khz, or 2khz in a pinch. Candidates I can find so far are only the Morel MDT30 or MDT37, and I am hoping for more options. Any other suggestions you can offer are greatly appreciated. Thanks! |
